On the Rink of Dreams downtown Ottawa,
I dressed up warmly,
Thanks to Mama,
Preparing myself with a cup of coffee.
Out in the distance I saw him,
Familiar he seemed,
And boy I knew he hits the gym,
“Gorgeous” my inner self screamed.
I received a call on my mobile,
“I’m here”,
And there he was with his contagious smile,
I was high with excitement like it was a movie premiere.
I was using my total concentration to skate,
Boy was I so happy,
I felt like screaming “Checkmate!”
I was so carefree.
Before that day,
I would walk the streets simply observing others.
Either that cute couple in the archway,
Or those lonesome beggars.
Out of all odds,
This 19 year old boy caught my eye.
Not only was he beautiful,
But he was also humble and true.
I finally found him,
His name is Jacob,
Would you be mine?
Would you be my Valentine?
